The story of Innervolve

Innervolve was born in the year 2017.

After having a rich and successful corporate experience of more than 25 years, I reached a state of mind that was asking me, what next?

Life was very busy and monotonous, not exciting and definitely not fulfilling. I had got used to working for more than 12 hours a day, an industry norm. Lots of hard work but I did not see the results were aligned to my efforts. I had played the leaders’ role in various functions, but the job looked the same. I checked with friends in other companies, heard the same story. No excitement in work. While they were complaining but they seemed okay to continue the same way. I took a break from work. In hindsight now, it was a big step towards getting what I really wanted.

During the break with time on hand, on reflecting, I realized that my needs and wants had changed. The job that I was doing was not serving those needs and wants. In the meanwhile, I got connected to a coach. My coach very subtly made me look inside. I realized the world was the way I wanted to see it. What I was believing is what I was seeing. I was seeing the world with my own lens. This hit me hard. Actually, there was nothing wrong outside. I was seeing the world with this lens that I had developed over the years. And this lens was defining my world. Looking inside helped me see this lens and obviously, things started looking differently without this lens. And, I always had the liking to develop people and groom them. Together with these, I created a new powerful vision for myself. That which was aligned to my needs and wants. My vision became my mission and it gave me a new purpose to work.

And my journey as a coach started… I enrolled myself in a credentialled program from ICF to become a coach.

So far, I had loved what I did in my career but with coaching, I started doing what I loved to do. I wanted people to power themselves. I wanted people to look inside. I wanted people to look inside to power themselves. And Innervolve was born with a motto… ‘Look inside to power yourself’.

Innervolve is my coaching practice. And I also work now.

Your Personal Vision and Mission Statement

I recently spent some time revising my personal vision/mission statement for my coaching practice. While doing this, it occurred to me that the vision I have for my work is closely related to my personal vision. Having a job that reflects my personal vision is powerful because it has allowed me to create a business […]

Dream. And manifest them!

“You know, there are two good things in life, freedom of thought and freedom of action.” Somerset Maugham, the famous English playwright, novelist and short-story writer said this. This is an amazing and powerful quote that everyone should stop and really think about.  There’s nothing better than having your own freedom in your life.  It […]

Conflict Management. What is your habitual style?

We are all different. We also, by default, operate from the mindset of scarcity and separation. This is the unconscious training that we get from our childhood experiences. We all learn unknowingly, through repeated experience how we view difference and conflict. We have learnt that someone got what they wanted, and someone didn’t. When this […]

Losing is not an option!

Losing is when you do not get the result that you want. Winning or Losing is not in your control. What is in control is your effort. This is true. Let us call Life a game. And in this game, you play with yourself every day. You make decisions. Big or small. Consciously or sub-consciously. […]

It is Not about Winning. It is about Not Losing to Self.

Let me start with a story. This happened sometime back. My son plays competitive tennis. In one of the AITA (All India Tennis Association) tournaments, he was playing with a relatively weaker player but still lost the match. When I asked him after the match, what happened? My son responded Papa, he (the opponent) was […]
